Terms & responsibilities
How madenvietnam works, and where our responsibility begins and ends. Read the payment section before you send money to anyone.
What madenvietnam is
madenvietnam is an introduction service. We publish supplier storefronts and product listings, and we give buyers and suppliers a place to talk to each other.
- We are not a party to any contract you enter into with the other side.
- We do not manufacture, inspect, store or ship any of the goods listed.
- Listings, specifications, certificates and company details are supplied by the seller. We check what we can, but we do not guarantee them.
Payment is between you and the other company
All financial arrangements are made directly between buyer and supplier. Money does not pass through madenvietnam, and madenvietnam accepts no responsibility for it.
- Price, payment terms, deposits, currency and banking details are agreed between the two companies. We are not consulted and we do not approve them.
- We do not hold, escrow, transmit or refund funds. Any escrow you see described on this site is not currently in operation.
- Losses arising from a payment — non-delivery, wrong goods, a supplier that stops replying, a fraudulent bank account — are a matter between the two companies and, where relevant, their banks and the authorities.
- madenvietnam will never ask you to pay us, or to pay a supplier through us, and will never ask for payment by Western Union, MoneyGram or cryptocurrency. Treat any such request as fraud and report it.
Protect yourself before you pay
Because we cannot recover money for you, the checks you make before sending it are the only real protection you have.
- Keep the negotiation in the on-site chat. It is your dated record of what was agreed.
- Check the enterprise code yourself on Vietnam's public business registry, and confirm the bank account is in the same company name.
- Order a paid sample before a bulk order, and consider an independent inspection before final payment.
- Be careful when a supplier asks to move the conversation off the platform, changes bank details late, or pushes for an unusually fast payment.
The verified badge, and what it means
A verified badge means we checked a supplier's registered name, address and enterprise code against Vietnam's public business registry on the day they applied.
- It confirms the company exists and is registered. It is not a judgement about product quality, solvency, or how they will behave in a deal.
- A badge can be withdrawn at any time, and being verified does not transfer any of the responsibilities above to us.
- Sponsored and Gold placements are paid. They are always labelled, and they say nothing about a supplier's reliability.
Using the marketplace
Accounts are for genuine trading businesses.
- You must confirm your email address before you can publish listings or contact anyone.
- Suppliers must give their registered company name, address and enterprise code, and keep them accurate.
- You may report any message. We may remove listings, suspend accounts or withdraw badges where a rule is broken.
